Responsibilities

  • Delivering relevant, high quality insights from consumer, market and cultural research across emerging hospitality, food, drink and travel behaviours
  • Supporting and collaborating with the team on primary and secondary research for both client projects, thought leadership and new business activities
  • Identifying key themes and trends from research to form clear and actionable analysis and recommendations
  • Producing impactful, high quality and insightful reports, white papers, presentations and visual materials for workshops, publishing and clients

Senior Account Director (PR)

We're looking for a Senior PR Account Director to join the Example team in Sydney. A client services gun with extensive experience in food, drink, travel, lifestyle and entertainment PR? We want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Client Services:

  • Utilise strong organisational and communication skills to keep track of multiple clients and client projects – lead all client WIP meetings / presentations, keeping clients regularly updated on projects (status, deadlines, deliverables and requirements) and providing guidance and recommendations, delegating project responsibilities when appropriate
  • Strengthen client relationships and ensure Example is positioned as a trusted partner and extension of their business
  • Anticipate client needs ahead of time – leverage all opportunities to increase services provided by Example
  • Manage execution work for clients, ensuring all output harks back to our strategy and planning, keeping clients aligned with agreed directions
  • Be the main point-of-call and escalation contact for designated clients, providing guidance and recommendations
  • Work closely with Department Heads to develop PR plans, using your knowledge of the client’s audience, industry and channels to ensure the work meets the brief
  • Manage the creation of reports, campaign decks, critical paths and weekly reports for clients, delegating tasks to junior staff as necessary
  • Confidently lead the presentation of campaign plans and reports to clients and stakeholders
  • Achieve exceptional results for clients, monitoring both the campaign KPIs and project profitability to ensure Example is making a margin on projects
  • Manage external suppliers and third parties involved in the delivery of client work

Public Relations:

  • Develop and implement a broad range of integrated, strategic communication campaigns across all media platforms to drive publicity and increase brand awareness for clients
  • Continually identify and secure opportunities for clients and leading talent
  • Work collaboratively with media to develop pitches, angles and stories
  • Source, brief and manage influencers to develop content opportunities
  • Drive quantitative and qualitative pieces of coverage for all clients
  • Foster and nurture strong media relationships across food & drink, travel, entertainment and lifestyle broadcast, print and online publications / channels
  • Offer crisis management and counsel to clients
  • Oversee the creation of media assets including targeted media lists, press releases and news bulletins, photography briefs and event run-sheets, delegating to junior staff if necessary
  • Measure and evaluate the success of campaigns and opportunities for future work

Marketing:

Work collaboratively with the Head of Digital and Content and Marketing Senior Account Manager in order to deliver fully integrated campaigns for our clients and upsell our services.

Strategy

  • Work collaboratively with the Strategic Director and Department Heads to formulate insight-driven and forward-thinking PR strategies in order to help launch / reposition client brands, products and services
  • Working collaboratively with the Strategic Director, take a lead on running the strategic process from discovery (conducting research, analysing data, running client workshops), to ideation (conducting internal brainstorms and using insights to rationalise and develop strategic recommendations), through to preparing strategy decks and delivering client presentations
  • Contribute to agency-wide strategic thinking, fostering and championing an agency culture that is collaborative and integrated (no matter the client/brief)

Team Management and Culture:

  • Lead, manage and nurture the Specialist team, providing career counsel and support, including developing a training programme
  • Manage internal team workflow, working with the Group Business Manager and Department Heads to allocate resources, and ensure client work is being delivered on-time, on-brief and to Example’s high quality standard
  • Work closely with the Group Business Manager to refine, develop and implement agency-wide internal processes to improve efficiency and the effective delivery of client work
  • Work closely with the Group Business Manager to drive agency culture, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives that encourage knowledge sharing, collaboration and the strengthening of inter-agency relationships

New Business:

  • Provide support for agency growth and development of new business pipeline
  • Work with the Example team to brainstorm ideas and develop proposals and presentations to acquire new clients and revenue opportunities
  • Proactively seek new opportunities for Example, relevant to the agency’s areas of expertise

Requirements

  • Fluent and articulate English speaker, writer and editor with confident presentation skills (​mandatory requirement​)
  • Proven track record in successfully managing multiple PR campaigns simultaneously
  • Rigorous, detail-oriented and highly-organised approach to managing work and deadlines
  • Minimum seven years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Genuine passion and interest in marketing / communications for the hospitality, tourism, entertainment and lifestyle industry

Social & Content Account Director

We're looking for a highly motivated social media and content marketing expert to help drive best-in-class paid, owned and earned social media and digital content for both Example clients and the Example brand.

Example is looking for a highly motivated social media and content marketing expert with 5-7 years’ experience to help drive best-in-class paid, owned and earned social media and digital content for both Example clients and the Example brand. The Account Director will be responsible for working with our strategy and creative team on concepting and ideation, and our PR and Marketing teams on planning, coordination of messaging in addition to being the lead executor and following through with client reporting.

This role is critical for creating strong reputations for our clients across owned and earned channels including TikTok, Instagram/Stories/Reels/Live/IGTV, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, podcasts, Spotify, websites, email communications and any/all evolving new media / channels. The goal of this candidate is to build brand love and advocacy on these platforms and grow an engaged group of community influencers to recruit new consumers into the brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning

  • Work with our strategy team to pioneer planning for how to engage followers across all social channels, including primarily Instagram and Facebook, in addition to Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok etc., with a focused effort on increasing views, following, and engagement. This planning will coincide with the company's wider public relations, marketing, and advertising campaigns

  • Engage in social listening for brands and competitors to understand the category landscape to identify trends, brand opportunities as well as potential influencers

Creative

  • Work with our Creative Director to provide innovative recommendations for creative campaign concepts, content, influencer activations and partnerships to be executed via paid, owned and earned for our clients

  • Define and drive content calendars as well lead and execute content creation, campaigns, and initiatives across key channels, ensuring content adheres to a consistent voice and brand guidelines

  • Drive brand recognition across all platforms by briefing and working with a range of content developers/creatives; writing caption copy, and crafting engaging stories

  • Develop any required design assets (i.e. Social media graphics in appropriate dimensions for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn, and more, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, blog, etc.)

Influencer

  • Develop and articulate innovative influencer strategies that achieve client goals and incorporate best practices of organic and paid social campaigns

  • Oversee the development of Example’s influencer database and own the communications process for potential partners in the cultural space

  • Identify and build relationships with key digital influencers and tastemakers, and engage them to help execute partnerships that amplify key marketing moments

Digital

  • Work with Example’s digital media buying partner on developing wider digital strategies for our clients and managing any live campaigns we have with them and our clients

  • Manage smaller paid social campaigns from end-to-end: managing creative processes, targeting and segmentation, planning, execution, and reporting

Management & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships grounded in a deep understanding of our industries and client business goals

  • Report on various social metrics such as growth, engagement, conversation, amplification and leads across channels to guide overall social platform strategy

  • Contribute to new business pitches by developing and delivering groundbreaking social ideas

  • Identify opportunities to optimize and pivot campaigns based on performance, trends, or client needs, including the development of new materials or workflows

  • Lead and manage Example’s owned social media accounts, developing campaigns that drive our wider purpose and engage with core audiences

  • Manage client budgets including developing new project scopes, create cost estimates, track spend and reconcile

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-7 years of demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of the social media & influencer marketing industry

  • Experience with direct-to-consumer brands a big plus

  • Experience building, executing, and scaling social campaigns, especially on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest

  • A knack for spotting and tapping into online trends in engaging and innovative ways

  • Passionate about developing big ideas and can adeptly manage complex details to bring those ideas to life

  • Proven success with growing audiences and delivering on engagement metrics

  • A drive for testing, learning and making data-driven decisions
