A natural leader and born communicator, Rebecca honed her personable approach to PR on both sides of the pond, with top tier gigs in London and Sydney. As Example’s Managing Director, she synthesises fourteen years worth of experience and an unparalleled understanding of the landscape to make every story sizzle. Rebecca has led pitch-perfect communication campaigns for the likes of Merivale, Jamie Oliver, Diageo and Lost Paradise.

From selling the dream to any team or Merivale to the masses, Andy El-Bayeh is an unmatched marketing force. A creative strategist and brand concept don with significant tenures at some of Australia’s most respected food & drink brands, Andy knows a thing or two about what truly constitutes unforgettable customer experience. He brings this knowledge, commercial insight and leadership to Example, where he’s been responsible for launching premium hospitality concepts and curated, branded and marketed sold-out festivals. In between all that, he’s redeveloped identities for Mad Mex and The Espy, and engineered a strategic about-face Good Food Month nationally.

Example’s resident travel and major events expert, Andrew is the master of making every moment a success. Boasting an intercontinental background that encompasses robust marketing strategy and integrated brand launches, lucky devil Andrew’s spent the last decade criss-crossing the globe, starting agencies of his own and crafting some of our most memorable tourism campaigns. Part of the Example family from day one, Andrew’s expertise has seen him deliver mould-breaking strategy and partnerships for AccorHotels, Papua New Guinea Tourism and PromPeru.

Our Brit in Brisbane, Rachel is the woman to see when you’re after travel advice. Our globetrotting guru has worked with the world’s most prestigious luxury hotel groups, airlines and in-demand destinations, and she has the passport stamps to prove it. From orchestrating global campaigns to changing conversations about contentious destinations and brands, Rachel excels at getting heads in beds. Rachel heads up our Brisbane office, and is the lead on communications strategy for travel and hospitality clients including Eurail, Nine Food Events, the Australian Agricultural Company and Australian Venue Co.

If every brand has a story, Belinda O’Brien’s job is to make sure yours is one audiences will love forever. A conceptual all-rounder that can strategise as well as she can ideate, design and art direct, Bel is quite literally the head behind Example’s creative output. Past stints at award-winning agencies big and small have shaped her into the total gun we know and love today, with a keen eye for all things good-looking. In her other life as a killer DJ, she’s got a finger firmly pressed on the cue button of culture. Bel’s passionate approach to storytelling has already reaped glorious benefits for most of our clients, including AccorHotels, Salt Meats Cheese, and the Australian Agricultural Company.

HEAD OF STRATEGY

Example is seeking a senior and experienced strategist to lead the development of brand, marketing & communication and creative campaign strategies for its clients

Example is seeking a senior and experienced strategist to lead the development of brand, marketing & communication and creative campaign strategies for its clients. This is an exciting and integral senior role within Example.

In addition to developing strategies, the successful candidate will also prepare market and industry reports, and Example-branded white-papers to support new business and show the agency's knowledge and leadership. Furthermore they will take an active role in setting Example's strategic thinking and approach, while also ensuring executional work that is delivered (by the Creative Team and Client Services Team) aligns and remains on-strategy.

To succeed in this role you must:

  • Have an insatiable curiosity, combined with the ability to translate intelligence and ideas
  • Love research as much as storytelling
  • Possess a proven ability to analyse data and uncover patterns
  • Be able to append insights with your strong understanding of Australian (and periodically New Zealand) market consumer behaviour and trends
  • Be able to communicate your findings and recommendations in a logical form
  • Be highly organised; a self-starter; able to multitask; fastidious with deadlines
  • Be a fluent and articulate English speaker and writer, and confident presenter; personable

10+ years experience in leading research and insights gathering (both qualitative and quantitative), and developing brand and marketing strategies is a mandatory requirement. Agency experience and/or experience working with food & drink, travel, entertainment and lifestyle brands is also a mandatory requirement.

MARKETING ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Example is seeking an experienced marketeer to work on a mix of integrated retainer clients

Example is seeking an experienced marketeer to work on a mix of integrated retainer clients (leading the marketing component, and in some cases also being the key account lead), and also to lead marketing-focussed projects. This is an exciting and integral senior role within Example.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing strong, long-term client relationships and building client trust in Example's capability as a reputable and leading brand, marketing and public relations agency. Leading Example's marketing services offering (inclusive of: strategy, planning and execution), the Account Director (marketing) will take a hands-on approach to work delivery, as well as work collaboratively with the broader Example team and third-party partners.

To succeed in this role you must:

  • Be highly organised; a self-starter; able to multitask; fastidious with deadlines
  • Be a strategic thinking and strong planner; have an eye for detail; commercially minded
  • Be a fluent and articulate English speaker and writer, and confident presenter; personable

7+ years experience developing and executing marketing strategies / plans, and a comprehensive understanding of marketing channels and tactics is a mandatory requirement. Agency experience and/or experience working with food & drink, travel, entertainment and lifestyle brands will be seen as favourable.

These guys work with liquor retailers, brands and distilleries to bring the best recommendations, price and education on whisky online through highly personalised service. We pay our respects to the service men and women who lost their lives, and also to the so-called ‘Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels’ (or Papua New Guinean carriers of Kokoda) to whom our country owes a great debt of gratitude to.
